General Manager - Global gym brand!

£28k basic plus Fantastic commission structure OTE £32k+ 

We are recruiting for this exciting fitness job in Chippenham. This General Manager role is for a leading brand in the health and fitness industry. The fitness job will be working for a company that are growing quickly and provide fantastic opportunities for success, growth and development as part of a brilliant team!

The role of a General Manager within this sector is an outstanding opportunity to develop your skills further and train and manage a team to success.

What will you be doing?

You will with the support of the Assistant General Manager manage the whole team, creating a great atmosphere and club culture for both team members and members to achieve their fitness goals!

Driving sales and marketing activities and developing plans to be successful, whether this means taking a lead on the clubs social media and interactive content or getting out and about involved in the local community planning events, outreach, and local networking. The ideal candidate will ideally come from a commercial background, confident in driving sales, have a proactive attitude and a hands-on approach.

Delivering exceptional customer service looking after your existing members and working towards smashing your target bringing new members into the club achieving business KPIs.


A little bit about you...

You must be keen, driven, dedicated, with a passion for Fitness! Motivated to achieve business and personal goals.

The ideal General Manager will have a background in the fitness industry, you may be an experience Assistant general manager or sales Manager looking for the perfect next step. 

Confident! Be the face of the club and love building great relationships with your team and members, as well as within the local community and corporate businesses.

And Finally, Calm and resilient, you will need the ability to resolve any club issues with a calm head. 

There are some areas that are extremely important and are areas that all their successful General Managers have in abundance, such as:

• Sales - you’ll need to ensure you are driving sales, training your team, leading by example and giving them the opportunity to be successful

• Standards - you’ll need high standards and a willingness to accept only the best of yourself and your team.
