Operations Manager – Surrey- up to £27k
I am recruiting for a fantastic leisure job in Surrey for a leading leisure operator in the Health & Fitness sector. This is an incredibly exciting Leisure Management business. I am looking for an Operations Manager. This is a leisure job not to be missed, especially for those of you who are budding future General Managers.
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for the running of the facility and this includes opening and closing the site, you will be directly responsible for the Duty Managers and the team that fall into them.
The site in Surrey has a great reputation in the local area and has some amazing facilities including a gym, squash courts a function room as well as astroturf pitches and a sports hall.
As an Operations Manager you will very much be the face of the business. The successful candidate will have operational experience within the Leisure and potentially Hospitality sectors including Health & Safety processes and procedures. You will have a proven background in managing the Operations in a large scale Leisure Centre and have a natural ability to lead and inspire a large staff team.
You will be driven by delivering an amazing experience to the members in an environment where no 2 days are the same. You need to have a hands-on, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills. Not only will you be taking ownership of the operations of the facility you will also be responsible for leading and developing your own team.

- Passion for fitness and helping others
- Experience in a customer service role: this could include retail, hospitality, leisure or fitness
- Experience of working in a management role
- Ideally Level 2 fitness qualified
- Ability to work open and close the facility and work some weekends.
