HEAD OF DIGITAL MARKETING

Anytime Fitness UK was launched in 2010 and is a prominent provider of community-based gyms delivering a coaching-based service to more than 175,000 members nationally across 187 clubs. Our clubs are operated under licence by franchise owners, and we have a strong mix of single site and multi-site owners. We operate our gyms for the convenience of our members 24/7.
THE ROLE
Watford based, this is a new role in the business and the individual will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of all digital marketing efforts. Based on research and driven by data and insight, the successful candidate will be responsible for the digital customer lifecycle, focussing on acquisition through paid media, SEM and SERPs and web development, as well as member retention through integrated and automated digital customer experiences. We are looking for creative, commercial and analytical individual who must have substantial experience of managing digital marketing campaigns ideally across leisure/fitness/lifestyle businesses.
Responsibilities
- Managing all digital marketing channels and activities inclusive of website, social, PPC, SEM and SERPs, and CRM.
- Strategy and planning of our digital marketing efforts, covering infrastructure and execution.
- Managing key relationships internally and externally to deliver digital marketing campaigns.
- Restructuring our franchisee paid media accounts to ensure central control that drives optimisation for the network.
- Financially accountable for managing a significant monthly budget across paid social and PPC.
- Optimising digital campaigns and ensuring the business is staying ahead with innovations in the market across all digital platforms - web, mobile, social, app.
- Collaborate with design, PR and content teams to plan, deliver and evaluate key digital marketing campaigns.
- Ensuring our app is fit for purpose and fully utilised / measured as a key channel in our marketing mix.
- Driving success of campaigns and delivering improved conversion and ROI.
- Manage key agency and supplier relationships.
- Support the overall marketing and brand plans whilst putting the customer first.
- Be a customer-centric ambassador understanding and ensuring that a ‘customer first’ approach is embedded in brand activities.
- Understand and define the customer journey and identify areas of improvement or opportunity.
- Optimise the customer experience across online channels.
- Work with the Lead Creative Designer and PR and Communications Manager to ensure new acquisition activities are on-brand and delivered locally in line with overall marketing plan.
- Collaborate with design, PR and content teams to plan, deliver and evaluate key marketing campaigns.
- Driving success of campaigns and delivering improved conversion and ROI.
- Work with our international teams (USA HQ and other master franchisees) to ensure dovetailed approach to digital marketing and UK localisation where necessary.
- Add value across the whole business when required.
- Reporting on a weekly/monthly basis on business performance.
- Being innovation and creative ideas to the business.
- Hands on whilst taking the wider strategic view.
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in digital marketing
- B2C marketing experience
- Can demonstrate previous experience of creating and executing a digital strategy
- Can demonstrate delivering successful digital marketing campaigns
- Significant paid media experience both hands on and managing agencies
- Budget management and delivering ROI
- Ideally a background in industry - leisure, lifestyle, sport, tourism – or franchising.
- Creative thinker along with excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, agile, growing business and adding value outside of their day-to-day role
- Excited at driving a new, growing business and can see the huge opportunity available
- Strong personality and great communicator who can influence at a senior level
- Individual keen to shake up marketing and bring innovative ideas that add commercial value
- Whilst can work in an agile environment can also bring effective systems and processes
