Maintenance Assistant – Southampton
c£24k plus weekend shift allowance
I am recruiting for a fantastic leisure job in Southampton for a leading university with amazing leisure facilities I am looking for a Maintenance Assistant. This is a leisure job not to be missed, especially for those of you who want to work in a different environment.
As a Maintenance assistant, you will be pivotal for the successful operations in the business. The successful candidate will have operational experience within a large leisure or hospitality sector. You will know your PPM, be hands on and have a clear understanding of Health & Safety processes and procedures. You will have a proven background in operations in a large-scale Leisure facility. You will have a passion for people and a will enjoy working as part of a team.

What will my role involve?
- Delivering maintenance activities to budget
- Always striving to exceed standards
- Building relationships with students and guests and to resolve queries within agreed timescales
- Ensuring all maintenance jobs are complete with minimal disruption caused
What do we need from you?
- Have experience of working within a maintenance team.
- Ideally have an electrical related qualification.
- Have experience of carpentry, plumbing or another maintenance-based trade.
- Have knowledge of H&S procedures
You will be driven by delivering an amazing experience to everyone on site in an environment where no 2 days are the same. You need to have a hands-on, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
