I am recruiting for a fantastic leisure job in London for a leading leisure trust operator in the Health & Fitness sector. This is an incredibly exciting business. I am looking for an Operations Manager for their site based in Covent Garden. This is a leisure job not to be missed. This is an amazing opportunity to support the club with the growth of their membership, whilst also ensuring that the club is safe and customer service is delivered.
We're looking for an Operations Manager who will lead from the front and by example, who relish the chance to meet and exceed both individual and team target. You will be a key member of the management team with excellent opportunities for progression and development on offer. Prior experience sales in the health & fitness would be beneficial. This role will suit someone in a senior position looking to progress their career to the next step.
As an Operations Manager you will very much be the face of the business. The successful candidate will have operational experience within the Leisure and potentially Hospitality sectors. You will be an enthusiastic leader, commercially astute and a focused customer service individual with excellent operational experience. You will have a track record working in premium innovative environments and have a real passion for service.
You will be driven by delivering an amazing experience to the members in an environment where no 2 days are the same. This position requires initiative, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, to work with people at senior executive level, and superb communication skills. You need to have a hands-on, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
- You have experience managing a Centre’s safety, maintenance and standard
- You are known for your friendly, calm, and approachable nature with the ability to act quickly and effectively
- You love working in a team, and have the drive to inspire and motivate others to work towards and achieve targets
- You are confident in your leadership skills, and have experience managing a varied team in a fast-paced environment
- You are effective in your management, and know the ins and outs of recruitment, payroll, and training and development
- You have excellent attention to detail
This is an ideal position for a smart, motivated individual. Ideally, you will have experience of working in the leisure industry. However, we would be more than happy to consider candidates with significant experience from other customer facing industries. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will be responsible for the Duty Management team and the front line staff that report into them.
