Assistant General Manager – Amazing Health Club 

£23k plus bonus


Our client has an amazing portfolio of health clubs and looking to recruit an Assistant General Manager in Oxfordshire’s largest health club boasting close to 4000 members.

This role is a very hands-on role and pivotal to the day to day running of the site. The role requires an organised multifaceted individual who excels in a team environment. It will be fast paced and will include working in all areas of the facility so a hands-on attitude is key.

The key responsibilities are:

·       People Management- You must have proven ability to run a team on a day to day operational basis with a fitness or FOH team report directly in to you

·       Brand & Operations Management- the product is brilliant and alongside your GM, it’s your job to make sure the facility is not only meeting the required standards and processes but comes ALIVE!

·       Product -With a massive investment going into the facility bringing the product to a new level of quality! You must believe in it, want to be in it, want to be talking to the people in it. This is a deal breaker.

·      Commercial – although there is a dedicated sales team and sales manager you must have an ability to sell and support the sales team to grow the membership database 

What are we looking for? For you to be successful for this role and what we are looking for are clear. Firstly, you will read the above key requirements and be excited. Secondly a successful candidate for these roles typically has:

A background in management, supervisor or Duty Management within the fitness industry, typically encompassing these keys areas of managing or running a leisure facility, managing people, managing brand standards, loving the fitness industry and be commercially aware and savvy. 

We are typically looking for someone who has been a Deputy/Assistant General Manager, Sales Manager, operations manager, senior Instructor or service manager within a health club environment. 

This role has great development opportunity. The next step from this role would be progression to a General Manager position or operations manager across several sites.
