A Little Bit About What You'll Be Doing...
As an Assistant Gym Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the club while helping to create an engaging and welcoming environment for members.
You will be highly visible on the gym floor, building relationships with members, motivating them on their fitness journeys, and creating a strong sense of community within the club.
Working closely with the Gym Manager and wider team, you will help drive club performance, support member retention, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step into management, whether you're currently a Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, or fitness professional seeking greater responsibility and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Gym Manager in the daily running of the club.
Deliver exceptional customer service and member experiences.
Build strong relationships with members and the local community.
Drive membership sales and contribute towards club KPIs.
Support marketing initiatives, social media activity, and local outreach campaigns.
Assist with member retention strategies and community engagement events.
Lead by example on the gym floor, maintaining high standards throughout the facility.
Help recruit, motivate, and develop team members.
Ensure health, safety, and operational standards are consistently maintained.
A Little Bit About You...
Minimum Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is essential. L3 PT Qualification not essential but preferred.
Passionate about fitness, health, and helping people achieve their goals.
Keen to develop a long-term career within the fitness industry.
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
Comfortable leading from the front and engaging with members daily.
Previous experience within a fitness, leisure, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing environment would be advantageous.
Experience in sales or member engagement would be beneficial but is not essential.
