Events & Partnerships Manager in Sheffield - Padel
Circa £30k - 3 days per week, full time available
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, working across Padel venues and out in the local community.
Our client is a fast-growing indoor Padel club operator, turning underused buildings into buzzing community sports venues across the north of England. They're looking for an Events & Partnerships Manager to get more people through the doors in Sheffield, selling venue hire, winning court sponsors and bringing in schools, businesses and community groups, especially when the courts are quiet.
This is a chance to be the face of one of the UK's fastest-growing sports in your own city. You'll work directly with the founder and the venue managers, be hands-on from day one, and help shape how a growing brand shows up as it opens new sites. If you love talking to people and turning a good conversation into a booking, this one is made for you.
On offer is a competitive salary plus commission on the court sponsorships and venue hire packages you bring in, a warm, community-first culture built around Padel for all people, all ages and all abilities, and real room to grow as the group expands into new cities.
Working pattern: Part-time (three days a week) or full-time, as they're open to both for the right person, with flexible working.
Key responsibilities:
Venue hire: selling exclusive and private hires, from parties and team days to socials and launches, and building packages that sell, especially off-peak.
Off-peak growth: finding and filling the quiet slots with groups, leagues, clubs and regular bookings.
Court sponsorship: finding, pitching and signing local businesses to sponsor courts, then looking after them so they renew.
Corporate events: bringing in company events, away days and team-building sessions.
Schools and community: growing the schools programme, looking after existing schools, and building links with local clubs, charities and community groups.
Networking: getting out to business events across Sheffield and turning conversations into bookings.
Event ownership: owning every event from first enquiry to booking, then handing it over to the venue team with a clear brief.
Social media: helping run the socials, talking to the community and capturing the buzz of each venue.
Tracking and reporting: keeping on top of leads, bookings and sales, and reporting back on what's working.
New site launches: helping get the word out and fill the diary as new venues open.
About you:
Energy and confidence: you light up a room and genuinely love talking to people.
Organisation: great time management, juggling lots without dropping the ball.
Writing skills: clear emails and sharp proposals, with no waffle.
Sales mindset: you're happy to sell and never afraid to ask for the booking.
Self-starter: you get on with it without needing anyone watching over you.
Tech-savvy: confident with Playtomic, a CRM, Outlook, Google Drive and social media, or quick to pick them up.
Background: experience in events, hospitality, sport or sales is a bonus, as is a love of Padel or racket sports, though neither is essential.
Driving licence: a full driving licence is useful.
DBS: the role involves working with schools and young people, so an enhanced DBS check is required.
What's in it for you:
A competitive salary plus commission on every sale you create.
Flexible working, with part-time or full-time options.
Staff perks.
