UK Sales Director - Align-Pilates & Merrithew
Evesham based (hybrid working available after first 4 weeks - 3 days a week in the office and 5 days a week to start with)
£60-70k (experience dependant) plus bonus and travel expenses
Are you a high-calibre sales leader with a passion for the fitness and wellness industry? At Align-Pilates, we have been a leading provider of commercial-quality Pilates equipment since 2010, dedicated to making high-quality apparatus accessible and affordable globally. Now part of Merrithew, we are expanding our global presence and driving innovation across 28 countries.
We are seeking a Sales Director to spearhead our UK operations, managing commercial product lines for both Merrithew and Align-Pilates. This is a pivotal role for an entrepreneurial leader ready to grow an inbound and field sales team across diverse segments—from boutique studios and fitness clubs to hospitality and rehab centres.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As Sales Director, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Collaborate with senior team to prepare annual budgets, revenue projections, and growth strategies for the UK
Establish and track KPIs across key market segments to increase market share and ensure profitability
Manage and develop the internal and field sales teams to hit annual objectives
Personally oversee key strategic partnerships, resellers, and major accounts
Marketing & Collaboration
Work closely with the Marketing team to align channel-specific campaigns with sales goals
Help develop a "Sales Playbook" and case studies for sectors like Boutique Pilates, Fitness Clubs, and Hospitality
Recommend and attend key international trade shows and events to secure new business
Team & Operations
Build and coach a high-performance team, conducting regular performance reviews and managing workloads
Oversee CRM development (Salesforce) to increase reporting efficiencies and pipeline management
Sales forecasting
About you:
We are looking for a "black belt" in sales management who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Experienced Leader: We are looking for a strong people manager with proven examples of leading and coaching high-performing teams
Industry Expert: You have a proven track record in business development with established buyer contacts in the fitness club and hospitality sectors
Systems Minded: You are proficient in CRM systems (specifically Salesforce) and the MS Office suite to drive performance
Growth Focused: You possess strong business judgement and the ability to articulate high-impact initiatives to stakeholders
Mobile: You are willing and able to travel for key international trade shows and client visits. You must be able to come into our Evesham Head Office at least 3x times per week (this is a non-negotiable).
