Shifts can vary and will be a mix of early mornings (most sites require a 5:30am start) and evenings (finishing at approximately 10:30pm), depending on the site’s needs. All staff will be expected to work weekends as well.

You will be employed by Motive8 and paid an hourly wage, including holiday pay, NI and pension contribution. You can also earn additional income through Personal Training, as well as teaching classes or leading gym inductions at some of our unmanned sites. These are all paid at an increased hourly rate.

Motive8 pride themselves on supporting and helping employees progress, and there are a variety of options within the company. Firstly, you can develop and grow your PT business. Secondly, you can look to progress in gym & spa management, moving from Duty Manager to Site Manager and then up to Area Manager. Thirdly, we have several departments within Motive8 if you decide you’d like to move into a different area of leisure management (for example, maintenance or gym design).

My journey with Motive8 started end of July, 2017, knowing almost nothing about the residential facilities, and on how these are operating, including procedures, let alone my English language level. But I started committed to learn everything about the role, helped patiently by senior management. The biggest challenge started after 4 years, in 2021, when I got promoted as gym and spa manager, but all senior Management held my hand, guiding my steps through the learning process. The best support I received from both of them was their unshakable confidence that I am able to overcome challenges no matter the situation, and having this motivation every day, it made a big difference. I could honestly say that I grew up as a member of Motive8 family, and I'm continuing to do so.
