My work experience at Love Recruitment

Hi, my name’s Sam and I am a student who is currently on work experience with the Love Recruitment team. As a Year 10 student I was looking to gain some valuable experience and learn some relevant and transferrable skills for future employment. I decided that Love Recruitment was the place for me because of their forward-thinking and innovative approach to recruitment. Another factor in my decision to work with Love Recruitment is the fact that my Auntie Hels works with the company, and I see how much she enjoys the work environment created by Abhi, Lawrence, Tom, Cam and the rest of the team.

The team’s progressive and game-changing approach helps to creates many different ways to innovate the industry, their blogs and guides provide helpful insight into the recruitment industry, trees are planted every time a placement is made, they’ve also created a podcast where you can listen to industry leaders talk about their experiences in recruitment. The work environment is fun and flexible to suit the needs of all team members. I am sure the work that the team does gives jobs to hundreds if not thousands of people, positively impacting the lives of these people and their families. They also ease the working lives of many employees at companies with vacancies by taking the weight of responsibility of finding their new colleagues off their shoulders and ensuring that the new employee will be a perfect fit for their new workplace. They really do take time to make sure the right person is placed in the right role with the right company.
During my visit I was fortunate enough to visit such places as: Teamsport karting, Oxygen Freejumping and Jubilee Halls Trust at Westminster. This helped me and the team to experience the environment and better understand the type of person that best fits the role.
When I walked into the Love Recruitment office on Monday I was pleasantly surprised by the level of responsibility that I was given by Abhi. He explained the tasks that he wanted me to complete and showed me exactly how to do it. Abhi was always on hand to answer any queries that I might have and answer them for me which was crucial to my learning and professional development throughout the day and the week. The team were also really helpful, and were ready and willing to answer any questions that I had.
From that time on I was trusted to complete the work that was set for me and this trust has been invaluable for me in experiencing what future employment in many different fields could be like for me. This trust has also been key in developing my independence and self- sufficiency that will be priceless in my professional, academic, and personal life.
Lastly, I would like to thank the whole Love Recruitment team for making me feel welcome and valued during my brief time at the company and I wish you the best of luck going forward in all of your future endeavours. I hope to see you all again soon, obviously Auntie Hels – I will definitely see you!
